Jealousy- the lack of love. A reversible poem.
Don't let me down.
I don't want to hit the ground, hard like a thrown stone.
Rejected, alone.
I can't shake the feeling,
I can't control your constant needing, I can't be your blanket.
Plus- you'd be safest,
it'd be for the better.
Just take off this sweater, let the sunlight hit your skin,
Let warmth crawl in,
whether you need it or not,
it can't be fought. This sweater will deteriorate,
Enough to infuriate
your thoughts.
As it rots. But it doesn't have to fray.
It shouldn't end this way.
You have a choice,
You have a voice, you have the heart.
All you have to do is start.
