A story my friend and i are currently working on. I will try to update it constantly.
Chapter  1: Same old, same ol…..
“Party! It’s a party!”
Waking up. One of the daily routines of the stable. For 16 years, I have been waking up, getting dressed and getting ready for whatever I was told to do. Today was only slightly different. I was going to become the next security mare. Not the head honcho, but a regular security grunt. The head honcho was, unfortunately, my mother.  She was a better head of security than the one before her, but that didn’t mean anything in this stable. As long as you kept order, that’s all they cared about. The overmare decided to visit me that day, because I had gotten my cutie mark. Even though I was security, (thanks to my dear mother…), I had to have my cutcinera. And I wasn’t looking forward to it. My cutie mark was, well, not me. It was a target. My mother said it meant a bulls-eye as in a sharp shot, but I knew better. I had always been picked on, but this was going to make it worse on me. Especially do to the fact of my coloration. I had a straight black coat, with a black mane and tail that both had electric blue streaks in them.
Well, I might as well have buried my head in a toilet and flushed. Now they have an even better reason to pick on me. With my cutie mark, and me being a unicorn mare, caused them to say that I was now even more of the dunce. First, I couldn’t do any spells except levitate small objects, and I failed most of my classes most of the time. And now, I have even more enemies.
“Alright. Calm down everypony! Calm down!” said the overmare in her usual monotonous voice. “Now, Flame, you know what this party means?” my mother asked me.
“Let me guess, the day that my life goes to hell?” I stated with a stark remark in my voice.
“No! How could you say such a thing?!?” My mother stated obviously offended by my remark.
I wasn’t to far off in my opinion though….something else was at work though. My mother ALWAYS laughs at my remarks. Even when she’s in ‘head of security’ mode. In fact, everybody seemed on edge lately. Well, the head of each department were which meant something wasn’t right. And I was going to find it out.
“It means you’re a mare now, and no longer a filly!” my mother said in an unusual reassuring tone, but it had a hint of sadness in it. Sadness that was unnecessary. Why couldn’t a smart pony had been given these hints?

After the party, and I’m still being picked on. And it doesn’t seem like it’s going to get any better. So, I just sulked into my room. And then I fell asleep.

I wake up to an odd sound. It sounds like screaming, but it’s muffled. And then I let panic hit me. That wasn’t screams of delight. That was terror filled screams. Getting out of bed, and hurriedly dress, (just in case this is some sick joke), and I stop as soon as my mother enters the room. Fear. That’s the only word that describes her look. Then her head explodes right in front of me. Well, it didn’t actually explode, but it seemed like it. And now there was a gaping hole in her head. And what looked like a mare who had a bad disease was looking at me. And had a gun. Lucky for me, she’s reloading. Time to attack. With what though? Excellent! For once, I’m glad my mother carries a gun.

“That could have gone better…” I murmured through gritting pain. The fight didn’t go quite as planned. When I shot the crazed mare with the gun, she didn’t die. It just sent her into a frenzy instead. Luckily, my security barding saved me.

“Well, well. What do we have here?”
Uh-oh. This is not good. I walked absentmindedly into the atrium, (out of sheer habit), and straight into hell.
“Looks like we have supper!”
Shit. This is not good……
