This is a flashback action sequence.
As I walked in through the door, to the Winking Eye Bar (The Web), I noticed the five armed men staring me down. Before I could ask why, I realized they were readying their guns preparing to take me out. Three men stood to my left, another directly in front of me in what would be the center of the room. This man stood between a couple of tables, with green felt and poker chips scattered about. To my right one more stood behind the bar.

Without hesitation or thought, I immediately dove for the man in the center of the room. While flying through the air, I was able to grab my pistol and take aim at the three on the left. 1…2…3….

3 Shots and 3 men down, all of this occurred in an instance. As I crashed to the floor, I rolled to my feet before the man in the center could react, I turned him around and applied a headlock and put my gun to his head. Noticing now the final man unoccupied behind the bar, I raised my gun to him and uttered the question, “Why?”

He simply mouthed the word DIE and began to squeeze the trigger. At this moment, I pulled mine and the man slumped down, dead behind the bar. Stopping to collect myself, I noticed the now lifeless corpse in my arms. I let him go; as he dropped to the ground I couldn’t help but think: What was going on? Who were these men? Why were they so ready to kill me? How did I just empty a room of armed men, in seconds? With no recollection of training, or any prior experience with a gun what the hell just happened? The biggest question that kept coming in my head, who am i?

I searched the room for any clues to be had. The men must have some form of identification. All wearing the same identical three piece suit and tie, traditional black jacket with a crimson shirt underneath with a golden tie. This was a definitive sign of organization, but who did they work for. Was the attack on me just a random coincidence? I am more curious as to how I responded and now five men lay dead.

After searching each of the five men, I come up with very little. A few dollars on each and not much else, except for a small tattoo on the last man’s wrist. His jacket seemed to be a little small for him, so his wrist was exposed. It’s an interesting tattoo of a very intricate web design. Upon seeing this I went back to the other men and found the same tattoo in the same place on all of them. Hearing sirens in the distance, I took out my phone and took a few snapshots of the tattoo for closer observation in a safer location. Now time to get out of here before either the police or more armed men arrive. I need to figure out what this web tattoo means.

I'm currently not sure if making this a flashback scene is a good idea or not. Still just one scene in the middle of a story, that which i have not worked out all the details yet. Any suggestions and ideas would be greatly appreciated. Other than that just let me know if you like the piece. Thank you.
