The time has come to end our days together on South Padre Island
The End of Days

The end of days, the end of days;
We’ve parted now, in so many ways.
This may be the last time that we say goodbye?
It’s time to go now, it doesn’t matter why.

Our time is done, at least for now.
The spell is broken, I’m not sure how?
At least I’ve escaped from ties that bind.
A better time, I may never find?

You can go your way, I can go mine.
Our parting, sweet sorrow is really just fine.
Unrequited love is not my style;
I still enjoy being alone, at least for a while.

You have your path that you must travel,
I have mine, and it’s time, to hit the gravel.
South Padre Island is a great place to stay.
You can get a great tan and have time to play.

The end of days, the end of days;
The time here was great, in so many ways.
I’ll remember this year the rest of my life,
The first year in twenty, without my wife.

Next winter will get here fast enough;
Time really flies and other trite stuff.
I hope to resume my time here in the fall;
It may even be the very best time of all.
