Part Two to The Boat
The Crew
On my many voyages mistakes were made, some of which were grievous enough to actually endanger my vessel and at other times simple and small and of no real account, I being a very hard Captain allowed none to go unnoticed or unpunished. Despite my harsh berating and my vigorous scolding, oft times at great length, my crew would continue on; however, usually greatly despondent but never mutinous. Subsequently the crew would seldom repeat any blunder. Afterwards, I would often wonder why I was so hard on the crew as it was truly not necessary to be such a tyrant to make a point or to correct an action so as to stifle its repetition. Be that as it may I am who I am and so the crew has no choice but to tolerate my ways. I have thought long and often on amending my manners as surly a crew living under less stress would be more productive and happy. I therefore have decided to endeavor to be a more gracious and merciful Captain for my crew is ME and I sail alone through this tempestuous sea ... my mind.
