The gods lay a soloist
amid the revolving mix
of slavish migrators
and he, the subject
of careless atrocity
was abandoned
by a band of willing fools
residing in forcible guidance
murdered in mid-flight
at the fancy
of captors unseen
for the captors are we
and the soloist flees
