Where my body lies...
I've succumbed to my own bitterness;
In this pit I waste away.
My only refuge from this darkness,
Is I can't see the decay.

I'm sure the maggots feast, delighted;
I'm sure the roaches scatter.
But I hear not a single scurry,
Of any creature that could matter.

For I've long been dead within this grave,
Plagued by years of plight.
And while I believe no man can save me;
Alas, I see a light.
