I watch the dawn caress your face as I lay by your side. (Form: End Rhyme) |
Paphian Mornings ** Image ID #1831736 Unavailable ** I watch the dawn caress your face as I lay by your side. It wraps you in its warm embrace as my heart swells with pride. I lay there basking in the love that's only shared by two. Each day I thank the stars above for guiding me to you. I reach and brush your sleeping eyes with a good morning kiss. You smile, though it is no surprise as we enjoy our bliss. You stretch and wrap me in your arms, your skin warm to my touch, displaying all your worldly charms. You love to tease so much. This time, however, there's a glint of mischief in your smile. It's more than just a passing hint that I should stay a while. Excitement builds as we explore the ways we know so well. Though we have been this way before we feel our passions swell. We celebrate in love's union what words cannot express, then lie in silent communion with smiles we can't repress. The world returns, we cannot stay. There's much we need to do. Reluctantly, we move away ... "Good morning. I love you."
