An invasion is launched by an advance squad.
"Squad, listen up," the Captain said.  "In minutes we'll materialize on a new world.  We've studied the ongoing war, and will align ourselves with the Horde.  Once the Alliance has been defeated, we will turn on our allies, and take over.  Any questions?"

"Yes sir.  Why can't we all be ourselves?  Why do some have to be Orcs?"

"If there was a sudden increase in Trolls, even these dimwitted creatures might sense an imbalance and take action against us.  Now, prepare yourselves."

"Stop the replay," said the chief investigator.  When the video was paused, he continued.  "Are we sure that the invasion plans were carried out, that the squad wasn't detected?"

"There's no sign of any recognition by the inhabitants, sir," replied the junior investigator.  "The plan was well executed, and the squad's recorders continued to send us signals right up to the end."

The replay resumed.  The members of the advance squad, sent through space as electro-magnetic images, materialized in pairs, scattered across the target world.  They quickly teamed up with other Horde members, joined guilds, and led fights and quests against the Alliance.

The invaders mages had the most powerful spells, their warriors were unbeatable.  The Horde was emerging triumphant.

"Stop again, " said the chief.  "What was that noise?"

"It appears to be some kind of overlord dictating to the world.  Here's a translation."

"Not right.  Let's reboot the server," could be heard, but it didn't come from any Horde or Alliance member.  The replay was resumed.

The last thing on the video was a message reading "World of Warcraft Server 11823 Rebooting"

The chief investigator spoke, "The exact cause of this disaster isn't clear, but the risk to any further attempts at conquest are.  Close this episode, and move onto other worlds."
