A Lullaby among sisters. (16 Lines)
How little Gracie loved a beautiful sweet song

Singing together is what made our bond so strong

I’d sing to her when she had grown too weary

Her love for my voice's tone, often leaving her teary

She’d ask, “Sister sing me one of your lullabies?

I’ll just lay here and listen, as I close my eyes,

I’d like you to sing me to sleep tonight,

Please sing “Golden Slumbers” if that’s alright!”

And of course it was always alright, never once did I decline

A pleasure to put her mind to rest, for her peace was also mine

And so I filled my sister’s request, and I began her favorite soothing lyric

Squeezing her tightly, hopeful my fluttering hymn just might ease her sick.

As the haunting melody reached its sorrowful end,

I knew I’d now and forever lost, my only lifelong friend

So now whenever I start to utter a tune, should it be a lullaby,

The end of the song shall ne’er be heard, for I always start to cry.
