Glass

Shards of glass running through my veins.

Slowly killing my body but not my spirit.

My spirit was lost long ago.

My hope was crushed long ago.

When I lost you..but how can you lose something

you never had you ask?

A person who lifts your spirits only with the thought

of them being there.

The love you have but they are blind to or choose

to ignore.

Pining for someone you will never have and could never have.

Like shards of glass running through your veins killing you.

There is no escape from your emotions.

How do you escape yourself?
