A causa tua
Grazie a te
Contentment has never
Seemed so far away

--counter affect,
Put-on for money,
A take-off on set.
The world -- your stage,
Glittering afront,
Back alley bowels.
Every fall but a stunt;
No actual perish
Nor genuine descent
Into love,
Into madness,
Or the hands that once lent
These eyes a flawed certainty,
