While in a coma, Jerry still had a very unusual experience.
[Introduction]
“Jacob had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.”
-Genesis 28:12

Just after the wreck, Jerry found himself at the bottom of a stairway, sitting at a small round table in a kitchen area. He was sitting directly across an older woman. She was sipping a cup of tea. Jerry asked her, where am? She said, “Well this is a place that really brightens your world.” She said with a big smile. He looked back at the side of the stairway, and there were pictures of golden harps and angelic being embedded in shiny gold. Up and down the stairs there were enormous winged creatures, going down and up the stairway. While they hovered from up and down, their wings caused a lot of wind, which consumed the whole house.
It was as if his body was going to be blown against the wall, he just sat there.
“Excuse me, Ma’am? What are those things”? To which she replied, “Those are the messengers.” Very slowly the Angelic beings slid a saucer of bread and butter toward Jerry and flew off. He did not if he should eat it or what. The older woman poured him a glass red wine. She raised her voice a bit this is to be done in remembrance or should we in preparation for the King. What king was she talking about? Jerry asked, He was still a bit confused. Then her voice seemed a bit louder, “Do you know where you are Jerry? “You mean I’ m in Heaven? “ “Yes,” she said, Well that is the gate there. They ate and drank together. Suddenly, He saw a reflection, like a light blinking with rhythmic second. He looked behind him and doors on the top of steps were opening and closing with the bright rushing in and out. Then a violent wind swept over him. The lady was gone. She flew up the steps, toward the top. She was one of them. She was an angelic being. The whole room where he was started to shake, the singing of the angels were enormously loud. He heard them sing, “Holy is the Lord our God and praising Him. The entry to the upstairs doorway became brighter and brighter, until his eyes felt as though they were going to burn up.
His eyelids were fluttering, and then he finally woke up. He looked up a saw the sun shining down on him; all he said to himself was wow! He looked up and noticed that his leg was injured. He had to get to a doctor, but how. He watched as the cars on the interstate just zipped by constantly, like he wasn’t there. He tried to get up, but he could barely move. He listened as he thought he heard a small car drive off the road. “Son, we have to get you to a doctor.” He looked up at a middle aged man just hovering over him. Jerry just breathed in a big sigh of relief. The man, that found drove him to the nearest motel, at the Ramada. He checked him in there, and cleaned up his wounds. Jerry barely heard the Hotel manager talking to the man who found. For some reason he had to leave very urgently.
