One night I never wanted to end.

You held my hand in yours,

and my heart in your other.

Never had I felt such warmth.

Butterflies dancing wildly within my soul.

You held me close to you,

as the cool wind blew past.

As the sun faded beyond the horizon,

you became the light that led my way.

Never once was there a smile unfound upon my face.

Nor a hopeful glimmer unpresent in my eyes.

What I felt that night was a love beyond measure,

and only between you and I.
