"I am an Entertainer"

"I am an Entertainer", that's what she said to me.
From the thick, bold mascara; I wondered what she does.
The longer we sat and talked; I wanted less to know.
I felt sorry in some way; life need not be so hard.

"I am not from this Country", and the law is involved.
From the thick, bold mascara; I wondered what she does.
Meeting was by accident; I found her "hiding place".
We smoked our own cigarette; she wanted to unwind.

"My husband is much older", he's been having affairs.
From the thick, bold mascara; I wondered what she does.
I've never seen such lashes; reused so many times. 
They are getting a divorce; no surprise there for me.

I've never seen her before; her hiding place is safe.
From the thick, bold mascara; I wonder what she does.
She did not want to reveal; her true occupation.
My guess is as good as yours; we all have our secrets.

If tomorrow I see her; I will wish her the best.
From the thick, bold mascara; I wonder what she does.
I will not ask her again; because she will just say:
"I am an Entertainer"; and I will still wonder.
