As she awoke to the dark, rainy, gloom of the day, She felt as though she was being watched. She stumbled through the dark, fumbling to find the light switch. Just a few more feet until she could shower her room with light, unmasking the creature that was creating a sense of paranoia. As she flipped on the light and turned around, she saw nothing. Only her slightly messyroom and unmade bed. She decided the fear was just in her head and she started to descend the stairs. She began to notice the house was uncomfortably cold. The air was thick, and gave her chills as if it was a winter night. Nothing in the house felt right. The atmosphere was filled with fear and dread. It was almost as if she was in a horror movie, the poor girl left alone for death to claim her. As the day progressed, nothing seemed to get better. She stared aimlessly around the room trying to calm her nerves as hour after hour slowly dragged by. Then, she heard it. An almost inaudible whisper sounded above the rain. His deep, baratone voice crept into her ears and sliced through her mind. Her heart was pounding so hard it hurt. Adrenaline began pumping through her veins, fueling every thought of fear. She knew she had to escape before he got down the stairs. She desperatley searched for any way out or anywhere to hide. She knew he could hear every thumping beat of her heart, every terrified breath she took, and every tear drop that fell to the hardwood floor below. As she said one last horrified prayer, she heard his feet hit the floor. She knew then, it was all over
