Poem about the same girl...
Without a companion

On the ropes about it
Even though I'm at the end of mine
Wit's end
How will I withstand?
There's a peace I feel
With your fibre arms wrapped
So tightly around my neck intertwined
In every fiber of my being
I begin to see the light
Though my vision is tunneled
As it all ends in tears
With no end in sight
Penchant for misery
You absconded with my heart in haste
Pulled from my chest
Firmly placed against your breasts
Faintly still beating
Had the decency
To look back as you were fleeing
Cursory glimpse
Deep from within
The ugliness rears it's ancient head
In need of beauty sleep
Counting sheep backwards
Couldn't sleep a wink
So give it a rest
Knees buckled
Fell for your lies
No point in showing your true colors
As to the fact I was blind
Forlorn of hope
Left miserable without a companion
Think back when I told you that I wanted to choke you
See your mascara run down your throat
Smeared across your face by my hand prints
Forewarned that it won't be before long
Shorn of your dignity
Assuage this anguish and grief
I swear dear
Even if I ate my words to vanquish this speech
Can we ever make amends make pretend?
Mend this fence that I am on
You stand in your perpetual blue dress
Though truly a God send
