the vacation

We went on vacation
to get away
from all the things
that seem to stay.
So we got in the car
and drove quite far.
And on the way
a level of yelling and screaming was maintained.

As we reached our destination
for our get away vacation,
something went wrong
they forgot our reservation all along.
So there we were without a room
and now a sense of doom and gloom.

So back in the car we hop
and didn't even stop
on our way back home.
we were sad and
i was mad.
we had hoped to get away
but instead we were the ones who had to stay
and be unable to keep our troubles at bay.
i need a vacation from this vacation.
