a girl gets amnesia and struggles to survive in a dark tunnel. |
Red. Yellow. Blue. Purple. The colors flashed in front of my eyes blinding me momentarily. Then the after images faded leaving nothing but a choking blackness. My hands fumbled in front of me for some sort of support. The effort turned out to be worthless as I tripped over the uneven ground. My hands hit first skidding and lessening the fall none, my shirt lifted up and my stomach brushed the rough ground and I knew that the wound wouldn't be deep but hurt like hell. I lay there for what seemed like hours, trying to gather myself from the shock and mental pain I was going through. I didn't know were I was, I was injured and my memory was blank. My mind searched for memories but I couldn't find anything about myself. I was nothing more then a meaningless nothing in a human body. NO. I could not start thinking like that. My life had to have some meaning if I was down here. Or at least it had to be down, because the air was thick and damp the ground was uneven and rough. I had to keep going. I started to crawl towards the left hoping I could at least find a wall. But after a moment of fumbling I had to stop. My hands were bleeding my leg hurt and my stomach was bleeding. "Heeeeelp!' I yell. My voice echoed off the walls reminding me of my loneliness. Then I heard the sound of a injured grunting. "Hello?" I call, then a faint "I'm here!" I start in that direction crawling as fast as my injured self could take me. But the farther I go the more I begin to doubt that there was any one there, in the first place. I collapse in anguish and defeat. Not ever knowing who I was or why I was down here. |
