A very short story for the daily flash contest
The dragon watched as the knight kept blocking the missiles with his shield. Each one flew with bullet like speed. The knight tried to get a hold of his sword. But each time he almost get the hilt a piece of masonry thudded into him. The dragon actually felt for him as a chunk of castle caught the knight right between the eyes sending him crashing to the ground.

“You asshole.” A voice screamed out. Quickly followed by a rather annoyed looking girl. “How dare you lock that poor defenceless animal up like that. Have you any idea how long its been here? It could have starved!” It looked like the knight was about to protest that dragons were not actually that defenceless when she then started to wave a fire poker in front of his face.

“And, what kind of scam is this? You trap me. Then imprison me here. For what? So you can come in and rescue me? A movie and food would have done. I like movies, I like food. Why can I not meet a normal guy?”

“But you were a damsel in distress.” The knight managed to get out. Then almost instantly regretted it. As she swung the poker around in an almost psychotic arch. A loud gland rang around the room as the poker was twisted up like a pretzel from impacting the wall.

“Oh I’m distressed buster. You don’t want to know how distressed I am.”

The dragon sat back and watched as the girl hurled the poker away. By now the knight had managed to get up but was quickly running again as the girl came after him once more. This time brandishing a solid looking broom.

Yes the dragon thought, he was starting to like this girl.
