an apologetic poem for a lover

Again,Please

My love for you has always been strong,

but I am afraid I have done you wrong.

For I was tempted to walk on unholy ground.

I am horrible to do this when you weren't around.

It's hard to look at myself everyday and know,

The trust you had for me has died and may never again grow.

You are the most forgiving soul not to have told me to go.

I made a promised to be true to you,

I broke it and made you blue.

If I can make it right please tell me how,

I will love you forever and for now.

I am sorry to have let you down.

I hate seeing your face with a frown.

To make you smile again would be great.

Can I save us or is it too late?

Remember I love you with all my heart,

Can we try again? A new start?

Forever love your wife, I am apologizing for all of your strife.

Please say yes, I need you in my life.
