The Ad

“And I’m telling you that love at first sight doesn’t exist!” I exclaimed. It was the same old debate that Frida Friday and I always had. She truly believed in love and especially love at first sight and well frankly I didn't. "How can you love someone without knowing them?"

Her brown eyes looked hurt and betrayed. "It’s a feeling, a magical feeling when you find your love. You just know it, and so will he."

There goes that secret. I am gay; I'm very open about it, because frankly there’s no reason not to be. "I can not believe someone as smart as you, thinks like this. It worries me!"

A guest walked up to her register, so we couldn't finish the debate. Not that we ever would anyways, we were both stubborn and set in our opinions, still we tried to change the others mind.

I walked away from the front desk, my mind still on the debate. Love at first sight what a ridiculous concept. Something created by all the romantic comedies to sell more tickets. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going, and I bumped into a man. Not an average man though, this one was something out of a movie. He had curly blonde hair, gorgeous grey eyes, and a rock hard physique, which he showed off by wearing a tight t-shirt. "S-s-s-sorry!" I stammered as a jolt of electricity passed through us.

Later that day I relayed to Frida what had happened. "So what are you going to do Mike? How are you going to find your new love?"

"It wasn't love," I was surer of this than I sounded. Maybe I just needed a quick roll with him or something. "If I decide I want to find him, I'll just post an ad on Craigslist. Though I doubt someone like him is single." She fought some more but I tuned her out.

When I got home that night I decided to put the ad up on Craigslist and also Adultfriendfinder. After a couple of minutes I decided the ad should read: You Blonde Adonis, Me clumsy oaf who ran into you this afternoon. Email me for date or whatever.

Truly I did not expect anyone to respond to me. It was a long shot and I knew it, so imagine my surprise when I got emails from both ads. Both read the exact same thing, "you say oaf, but I say fate intervening in our lives. Meet me at the Starbucks in Downtown Royal Oak at 7:30 pm." A quick glance at the clock revealed that I had about 10 minutes to get there. I threw on some cologne and headed out the door.

When I arrived, I looked around and seen him sitting by himself. I walked over and smiled when he looked up. "Hi," it came out shy which was unexpected.

"Want to get out of here?" He asked. He had changed into a tighter T-shirt and shorts that would likely tear if he bent over, which me and half the coffee shop was hoping he would. "I know a little place we can go to be alone."

Without waiting for an answer, he grabbed my hand and pulled me out onto the street. Then he pulled me against him, and gently put his lips onto mine. As we got into the kiss, it became more passionate, more intense. A feeling that I was not used to, but I went with it and our mouths and bodies felt as though they melted together, becoming one. “Wow.” I muttered pulling away.

“Yea, I’d been thinking about you for a while too. I knew you were out there, I just didn’t know you would literally crash back into my life.” His eyes twinkled as he looked at me, his lips turned into a bright smile. He read my face “I didn’t expect you to remember me, but I have never stopped thinking about you.”

“I’m sorry what?” Was this Adonis crazy? Just my luck I find a man who can turn my head, exorcist style and he would belong on the funny farm. Should I give him the benefit of doubt or should I run screaming through the streets to make sure I got away safely? Luckily he answered my question for me.

“Mike its me, Leon,” It didn’t ring a bell, but as anyone in customer service will tell you, I meet so many people in a day that sometimes I forget who my best friend is. “Leon Mitchell. We had political science a while back; remember I was the gay republican, who you constantly fought with.”

It all came back to me. A few years back, I had gone back to college in the hopes of becoming a lawyer or finding a third person for a three way with my now ex boyfriend. Silly yes but accomplishing two goals at once was what I did best. Anyways I had been attracted to Leon at first; though back then he was a little heavier than he was now. That is of course until he admitted to being a log cabin republican. “You look really good, you lost some weight.” Why did I sound like an idiot?

“So do you, and so did you. About 130 pounds of douchiness from what I hear,” He smiled brightly again. He pulled me to him and for a second I thought he was going to kiss me. “When I heard why you dropped out of school, well I was really upset but thank God you made it out alive. I figured we would keep in touch but then I never heard from you and couldn’t find you on the social networking sites and I gave up.”

“Why were you looking for me? I mean we really only talked in class, and we didn’t agree on anything. I mean hell you said that George W. Bush was the best President since Abraham Lincoln.” We both chuckled at that. In class we had to debate who the best recent President was, I had chosen Bill Clinton and John F Kennedy, and Leon had chosen the worst President ever. “So I don’t why you would want anything to do with me, except maybe sexually.”

“Trust me, I do want to give you all I have,” A devious look passed across his face, “Which is quite a lot if I do say so myself. But there is more than just my dick talking, I want to settle down with someone who is intelligent and can keep me on my toes, which I think you can. In fact if you’re half as good as you were in class, I know you can.”

A charge went through me. I had to have this man, I know it sounds corny or slutty but my body was suddenly craving him and everything that he had to offer me. This time I initiated the kissed and pulled him towards my car but he stopped me. “What?” wasn’t this what we both wanted? Had I somehow completely misunderstood what he wanted?

“I don’t normally sleep with a guy on the first date. So I was thinking that maybe we could somehow make 2 dates out of tonight?” He looked so earnest and sincere, but man I needed him right then and there.

A thought popped into my head, “Technically this isn’t a first date. I mean think about it, we have already met and spent time together getting ready for class.” He pulled me close to him, this time I was able to inhale the scent of his cologne and whatever it was, it worked for him.

We held hands and made it back to my apartment in record time. As I opened the door, I thought damn I should have cleaned up. That wasn’t a worry once his lips pressed against mine again, and his shirt came off of his body and next his pants fell to the ground. He stood before me in just his boxers and I took him all in and I knew I had to have him.

He was already happy to see me but I decided to give him something to get excited about. I pulled out a chair, and quickly got rid of his boxers. After he was sitting, I turned on some music and began gyrating to it. I got on his lap, and moved my pelvis around, slowly taking off my shirt, putting my nipples right next to his mouth, as he opened his mouth to suck on them I pulled away.

I stood up and undid my belt, and let my pants slide off of me with ease. Then I put my head between his legs and my mouth near his manhood, the look of lust that was on his face told me that the time had come to move to the bedroom.

I won’t describe what happened behind closed doors, because frankly I am not the kiss and tell type. Let’s just say my neighbors complained about excessive noise and one find it rather rude that we would be praising the lord so late at night.

As I lay in his arms, I looked up at him and smiled. “Thanks for agreeing to try this role playing game with me baby.” I smiled at the man that I was in love with, and he looked down at me with such love that it made my heart swell.

“As you said to me, after 5 years together, we do need to find ways to keep it fresh,” He kissed my forehead and pulled me tighter. “Plus I love you more than anything else in this world.” We drifted off to sleep after that.
