Some things I thought about while walking to work and watching the sky in Montreat NC

Watching the trees reach as the sky turns against the world
Clouds race by and I’m still moving
My heart rises and my eyes reach
A glimpse of a smile and my heart strains
As trees, eyes, and heart yearn to be released
To fly into space in complete defiance of order
As a soul is lifted from the body to final communion
