The sights and sounds of dawn over country NSW.
*Sun*Mother Nature Waking.

Kookaburras laughing in the nearby trees.

Cockatoos flying overhead in threes.

Magpies warbling returning their call.

Rosellas nibbling in the birdfeeder best of all.

A soft blanket of mist hugs the valley below.

While high on the ridge sheets of frost look like snow.

A mob of kangaroos graze on the grass,

leaving a trail of footprints as they pass.

The hills and valleys slowly come to life.

An engine roars past, serenity is cut like a knife.

In the distance a rooster rouses to crow,

Sunrise creates a pink and orange glow.

The shimmering frost starts to melt.

Water droplets on the guttering pelt.

Dew drops glisten on a spider’s maze

The fog lifts into a gentle haze.

Gradually the morning begins to clear,

The air is crisp, the sky a blue sheer.

This is Mother Nature at her best,

Waking from another night’s country rest.

Note: Cockatoos are a rather large white bird with a yellow crest atop their head. They tend to make quite  alot of raukus noise.

Crimson Rosellas are bright red and blue native parrots, they are very beautiful
