ReImagination

How many times have you thought to yourself, “I could do better than that!” or “I
wish I could change the status quo of (insert your industry or company here).” Well, start putting some of those creative ideas to work.

My journey began when I was working for a window cleaning company that was
doing some good business, but were basically bland and only interested in making
money. They were not exceptional and everything about them seemed to reflect this lack of pizzazz, spark, and life.I launched out and started my own window cleaning company after just one month with the other one. I wanted to set out on a journey of change to transform the window cleaning industry, not just provide a better service.Then, it struck me, “By golly, why not! Let’s kick this idea into high gear.”
I began to dream and think about the edges of the industry. Now I am realizing,
that going to the edges isn’t the only change that is called for. A revolution at the core of the industry was going to need to occur. I was going to have to set off idea bombs that would dismantle the status quo and rebuild a whole new industry model.

Now, I can sense what you are thinking. “Who is this guy to take on a whole
industry to bring change?” Well, I guess you could say that I am an entrepreneurial
idealist. I wake up everyday with a great sense of expectation of being an agent of
change. I refuse to live a hum drum existence that doesn’t make a difference in the
world. I am constantly rethinking my own journey and how to modify it to achieve my
goals for the day, week, month, and year. I guess you can say that I am crazy. But,
you’d only be partially correct (smiles). Actually, I am a reImaginator? A reImaginator is a word I made up for people with the revolutionary tendency to reexamine or rethink what is considered the norm in a given area. For my purposes, it is someone willing to rethink business concepts and change the status quo through the ideas that are generated in the reimagination process.

I have a dream of seeing reImagination incubators (communities of reImaginators) multiply around the world to bring change to their industries through the
art of reImagination. These groups would cause a groundswell of change in the arenas of business that would revolutionize the core concepts of industries and marginalize all
status quo thinkers in those industries. Can you feel the passion? Do you hear the
sound? A revolution of ideas is coming! Entrepreneurial idealists unite under the flag of
reImagination! Let all who oppose us…um…er…trying not to sound to
harsh…oh…here we go…sit down and shut up! Whew is it hot in here or what? Ok, I
am calming down before my head explodes (smiles).
