Struggling Depression

Feeling on top of the world like your somebody and everyone cares
Loving them more than you love yourself without knowing
Giving and not receiving, but still with others your gifts are shared
Like steel, strong and hard your heart is growing

Now you’ve fallen and found yourself in a trap
Realizing all this time you’ve been walked on and used
Wondering what you do to get yourself out of this crap
Always thinking that things will change, but now your more so abused

Lost and confused; depression and pain
Not knowing how or even wanting to go on
Through the years all you wanted was goodness gain
But seems like life has passed you by and everything is gone

Clouds are rolling thick across the sky
Darkness has fallen all around you
The wind gets stronger the more you cry
Its like a hurricane is happening inside you

Everything good about you seems to have been destroyed
Others can become your enemies and hurt you ‘til you drop
Its never what you think, so seems your energy towards it has deployed
This is like torture, just want it to go away; just please make it STOP!

Like you, is there anyone out there
Hoping for someone’s love that is real
To be your other half if they dare
Looking for a good heart like theirs to steal

Sadness forms a painted mold upon your face
Like it flooded, but with tears everywhere
Praying to god to get you out of this horrible place
Knowing everything about life is not fair

Words are easy enough for one to say
Actions are more like something you dream
Especially when nothing ever goes your way
All you want is the feeling of warmth goodness of light on you to beam


But so far your world has been black and white
Hard to get through, seeming to have failed and feeling down
My heart wants happiness and my eyes to see some color in sight
Cant take this anymore, about to come unwound

For my life, I want that special glow
I want the happy love token
I want to feel whole
I’m tired of being broken
I want everything great that god has spoken!
