Into the Unknown

Here I am in this world
The chains restricting me unfurled
I looked around what used to be my prison
And found that I had faded into oblivion

As I set aside my questions
I prepare myself for the lessons
I begin my journey in life anew
As I gather my resolve and bid my prison adieu

As I exit my prison
I looked beyond the horizon
I smiled as I realized that I was free
And here I am beginning my journey

To wherever my feet may take me
I realized my destiny
For wherever the hand of fate may guide
I will not be beguiled

I keep on traversing
As I smile from my heart and sing
Now that I am free from my past
I can now be happy, at long last!
