based on a dream i had.... about someone i once knew.
the quiet of an early morning, suburban backyard stretched out in the sunlight....
the dew was still wet on the tips of the freshly mowed lawn.

just inside the sliding door of the kitchen, stood a young woman....
still warm from the last nights bed sheets.

her hair was slightly skewed and it was obvious she'd slept deeply the night before....

just behind her stood a young man, looking as though he'd shared the same bed....
possibly the same heartbeart.

with no words spoken, he quietly put his arms around her waist and carreseed her slowly rising
and falling abdomen.

they each moved closer to the other and were soon warmed by their own body heat.

a tired smile on each of their lips.... they watched the daylight spread out further and further across the sky....

the earth began to slow down and eventually stopped, as the two decided to stay in this moment for as long as they could....
just barely awake, but breathing as one.
