Athena offers a candidate for President

It was clear the battle for the mid western and southern states would
be fought at the ballot box. Athena backed Vito against The Blessed Virgin
Mary's Lewis. Vito spoke to masses of people in stadiums and in open
fields. He offered a New World Order of peace and prosperity. Lewis spoke
of sacrifice and independence from foreign Potentates. "We are free to make
our own lives and futures in our land!" Lewis proclaimed. Vito countered with
the wonders of a brave new world. "We cannot isolate ourselves from the
world and all of its progress." he shouted at his sermon on the mount.
The Virgin Mary studied the polls closely and was worried; "If the flock
is divided they will be loss forever."
Vito was a brilliant orator at only 13 years. Under Hebrew law a boy of 13
was a man. Lewis was 85.  He asked the Virgin Marry to smite Vito.
She refused. She would not build her church on murder.+
"This must be decided by the people." she said to Lewis in his campaign
office. Vito laughed at the pious rhetoric coming from Lewis. "Should the
fate of a nation be sacrificed for one man?" he asked; "How will we compete
if we let the world pass us by?" His audience of Mormons applauded.
Vito was winning the people over. Lewis bought air time on the David Letterman
  Show and explained his politics to the pundit. Letterman mocked him;
"I don't think we need another Civil War." His audience responded to the
  applause signs.
It was a campaign wash. Vito's youth and charismatic speaking won.
Vito was now President of the United States. His first act was to order the
arrest of Lewis and Blessed Virgin Mary. Lewis was quickly apprehended,
the Lady of Lourdes could not be found. Athena searched for her on every astral
plain. She had vanished. Athena was furious. And broke her vow never to call on
Zeus. She had not forgiven him for his many affairs with mortal women an act
which she believed denigrated her mother Hera. Zeus was amused with her
  game.

"You are the most devious of my children. How long will you herd
              these mortals?" he thundered.

"Are you the King of the Gods? Can you allow another God before
you?" she answered with bowed head.

"I am Zeus!" the heavens shook and the sky grew black.
"I will bring this Hebrew slave to you in chains!" he thundered.

Muzzy sat at a marble table with old Doc Carter listening to Athena's prayers
before the statue of Zeus. "I think this could be the end of the world as we know it."
he said sadly to old Doc. "An immovable object cannot exist against an unstoppable
force." Old Doc Carter retorted. "Total annihilation." Muzzy whispered as Athena
approached. "Are you Christian?" she asked Muzzy. Muzzy nodded, "Sometimes.
I like Zen poetry." "Call her to me." Athena commanded and stood Muzzy up.
"It's not that simple." Doc Carter said, holding Muzzy. "Just try." she continued.
"Ehm... Hail Mary.. Please come right away." Muzzy stuttered. There was a
bright light in the Pantheon and the Blessed Virgin appeared above the fountaint
to Cupid. Lightening struck about her, shattering Cupid's fountain. But, the
  Lady of Fatima was unmoved.

"No God or mortal can withstand the thunder bolts of Zeus!"
              Zeus shouted.

"Perhaps you are not the King of the Gods?" Athena smirked.

"Any power you have comes from above. Let he who has the
greater power chastise me." the Blessed Virgin said and pointed
              at the Sun.

The Sun began to descend upon the Pantheon. Muzzy and the Old Doc hid
under the table. Athena laughed, "That is Apollo! My brother." She raised her
hands up and the Sun returned to its place. Mary dropped to the granite floor
and removed her flowing robes. It was time for battle. Athena dropped her tunic.
The Goddesses wrestled with lightening coming from their hands. They were
naked and flames of God's rath burst about them. They rolled out onto the
garden of Venus, burning bushes. Mary grabbed Athena's head by the back
and pounded her face into a rose bush. Athena flipped Mary onto a monument
to Prometheus. Mary's back was arched and her ribs pressed upward almost
to breaking. Zeus appeared with the sword of Perseus and raised it high to
make a strike upon Mary's breast. A golden hand stopped his. It was Jesus.
Jesus punched Zeus in the throat and freed his mother. Zeus fell gagging into
the gladiolas. Athena jumped on Jesus' back and tried to blind him.

"For the love of Mike! stop it!" Muzzy shouted from under the
              marble table.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, turned to answer Muzzy and was blind sided
by Zeus with a large water jug. She fell butt first on Perseus sword and
screamed. Her scream brought down the Pantheon. Muzzy and Old Doc
ran for their lives into the garden of Jupiter. The sword had pierced Mary's
left butt cheek. She staggered, trying to remove it. Athena ran behind her
to grab the hilt .. Jesus kicked her in the gut, toppling the Goddess into the
muddy fountain of Cupid. "Mother?!" he shouted as he removed the sword
and healed her butt cheek. Zeus grabbed Jesus tunic and flipped him into
    the mud with Athena.

"Is this how Gods settle their differences?" Old Doc Carter shouted
and had a sip of Cupid's fountain.

Jesus was too busy mud wrestling with Athena to answer. The Blessed
Virgin Mary stood up, covered in grass and mud and naked. "Sometimes."
she answered with an impish smile and kneed Zeus in is loins. Zeus dropped
to his knees and Mary kicked him in the face, knocking him out.
Mary lepted into the mud with Jesus and pummeled Athena as Jesus held
her from behind. The Goddess of Wisdom was unconscious. Her face was
    bloody and unrecognizable.

"Now, then. This reign of tyranny is over." the Blessed Virgin Mary
proclaimed. She was covered in mud and bits of twigs stuck out
of her hair. "You will tell the President that Jesus has returned.
And he will reign from the throne of David for a thousand years."
Mary continued and spit out a rose petal.

Muzzy looked at Old Doc Carter, "Ah.. Why don't you tell him?"
Mary grabbed Muzzy by the ear, "Did I not just fight for you? Take some
responsibility and do what I tell you!"

Muzzy reluctantly shuffled off to the White House and tried to speak to the
    President, but was sent away.
