I dropped Splendor like lightening splintered upon dry grass
And stooped quickly to stamp it out lest it should be set ablaze
And consume all I could see, for I was weary of standing amazed,
Desiring simple realization among the world’s lesser qualities.
But Splendor was not done with me, instead grew and fought
Until I was overtaken in the power of her convictions as she
Drew inside me, wrapping herself tightly around cords and life blood,
Setting her eternal abode in my eyes with a victorious smile.
What a damned mortal am I,
To remain forever in enduring wonder of all things.
