A flash-fiction piece I submitted to the radio show Total Axxess.
**Additional description: The prompt for this story was to write a story about being stranded on a deserted island and to work in the titles of three contemporary Christian songs. If it gets selected to be read on-air, then the songs will be played as they come up in the story. So I would suggest finding them online & listening to them as you read.**

It was a beautiful, sunny day at the beach, the last day of my vacation.  I hopped onto my inner tube as it floated in the shallow water. Stretching out across it, I was soothed by the rocking of the waves and fell asleep IN THE LIGHT (DC Talk).
I don't know how much time passed, but when I awoke I looked around and the shore was nowhere in sight. I had drifted out to sea! I looked around again and saw what looked like a small island in the distance. I frantically paddled towards it, hoping that it contained fresh water & food. "Oh well, I thought, at least if I can live on that island then I don't have to go back to WORK (Jars of Clay) tomorrow."
When I reached the Island, I saw there was a waterfall of fresh clean water, plenty of fruit trees, and beautiful flowers everywhere. The island was truly SOMETHING HEAVENLY (Downhere).
