Waking up on Earth Day, I am inspired by the poised toy dinosaurs frozen there.
Conspicuously they stand,
perpetually frozen in motion,
hunting, searching, seeking.
Unaware of their Chinese brand,
these creatures have no notion
From their sill, they are peeking.

They are grossly homunculus;
Artificial in the truest sense.
Plastic manufactured parts.
My dinosaurs guard without fuss
My window has a strong defense
:Cause imagination to kick-start:

In the past, toys were built.
Now, a raging river of guilt
much too rapid to ignore,
carries me away in an outpour.
And it fills my heart with doubt,
knowing I could go without.

Without all that is surrounding me
Made with oils from the sea
Taken much too often, dangerously

What happened to handmade treasury?
Passed from mother, to child, to me.
Rich imagination was a guarantee.

And now 'WE ARE ADVANCED' you see!
We have iPhones, cars, TV,
Devices are idiosyncrasies.

And all I strive toward, is to be free
Escape to.. anywhere but reality,
Maybe to the Amazon to sit in a tree

Wherever I go, this is my decree:
I will work to clear all the debris
from mind, from soul, to live my destiny.

Mother Earth is my adoptee
And in my heart I can foresee
Passion continually providing the key

The key to releasing who I strive to be.
