Poem about the potential results of empty lives. |
A Dream July 2007 Peace, Peace let it be comfort my heart and don’t let me see the danger so far away Sunlit streets and pleasured shops with busy people …and beggars Touch, Touch my eyes and blind my perception that I won’t realize how big the cloud on the mountain Houses and cars and wives with the children food on the table …and ignored starvation But, Peace, Peace let it be it can’t be a dream this peace that surrounds me… but there’s black thunder rolling Hallowed Universities and scholars with books science and truth …and then abortion My eyes, My eyes can you see don’t tell me the truth! like an angry bee the whirlwind falls from the mountain Page 1 The Dream (con’t) July 2007 Fun times and vacations to Vegas with tender loving …but who is my wife? Peace, Peace let it be please stay with my heart for my eyes cannot see and my destruction is come Blackened streets, and empty shops Desolate homes, and cars without children Empty classrooms, and science without truth Stony silence, and an empty heart… My heart, my heart now I know that truth was my dream and reality, my deception and the storm, my end.
