Poem about hope.
Hope springs eternal - at least that is what they say.
It’s something God gives us,
So we sit down and pray.

Hope is a feeling and hope is a desire.
It’s something we all have.
We hope we don’t get burned by the fire.

Hope breeds motivation,
Even more,
inspiration,
Sometimes more,
Contemplation.
Even more,
Often . . .
Consternation.

Young lovers have hope,
that their love won’t go unnoticed.
They come with their heart in their hand,
And they hope their love will bloom like a lotus.

“I love you.” we hear him shout.
“I love you too!”
Said the buzzard to the cockatoo.
An unlikely couple . . .
We hope it works out.

We all have hope that our teeth don’t fall out.
“I’d have to keep my new ones in a jar!”
“That damn dentist is really a lout!”

We hope that our love will be tenderly kept,
The new mother was so happy,
That she sat down and wept.

We hope we don’t go to hell,
And have to experience Satin’s fire.
So you say to your son,
“Don’t be a liar!“

We all hope the Yankees
can win the pennant,
But most of all we hope Newt Gingrich,
Don’t get into the senate.

We hope the doctor doesn’t tell us,
that we have diabetes,
cause you body’s gone wrong
But the doctor says listen to what I tell you
and follow along,

You try “hope” for a while,
But you finally say to yourself,
“I‘m going to have a donut,
Just get the damn things down from the shelf!”

I’m growing weary of the word “Hope”
More rhyming I can not stand.
yet like Sarah Palin,
I think I’ll write one on the palm of my hand.

Just remember that hope springs eternal,
At least that what they say.
It’s something God gives us.
Just sit down and pray.
