something i'm writing. feedback and ideas are appriciated.
Prologue:

It's been said that everyone has a story to tell and it's no different for Jessica or Jess as her friends call her. Jess is 5 foot 6 inches tall with long dark brown hair and is attractive if she wants to be, but her choice of clothing is baggy, jeans and her favorite slipknot shirt/hoodie. She grew up in a small town in North Carolina to move to an even smaller town in Pennsylvania. The only reason why she left Wilmington North Carolina was because her mother seen an ad online about a house for sale in rural Pennsylvania. Truth be told the house that was on sale was her grandparent's when Jess' mother was a young girl, so they packed up and left for Phoenixville.
When they arrive in Phoenixville Jess learns the hard way about being the new girl in school and in town, she also finds someone from her past. Will he help her adjust to the new school or will he make her life even more miserable.

Chapter 1.

"Mom why do I have to go to school, you know how high school is with new people expecially people who dress like me?" Jess said looking down at her wardrobe that consisted of black steel toed boots, black jeans with chains and black t-shirt with the band Bullet For My Valentine written in red and the band members on the front with tour dates on the back. Her mom just looked at her and shook her head. "Jessica you know why, because your education means everything now a days." her mother said as she looked at her daughter. "Jess you sure you want to wear that?" her mother asked in that motherly tone that all mothers have. "Sha." Jess said as she left the house to go to the school her mother picked out for her to go to. The school is Phoenixville Area High.
As Jess came up to the school she noticed that the school colors were a dark purple and white which she could tolerate since her old school's colors were Blue and Gold. Bullet For My Valentine's "Hand of Blood" was blaring through the head phones that was connected to her iPod and she could already hear the snickers about the way she dressed from the cheerleaders and the cat calls from the jocks that were sitting ontop of their cars. She just gave them all glares until she hit something that wasn't a wall but he felt like one. She looked up to see the quarterback staring down at her. He had to be at least a foot taller and about 100 pounds heavier. Instinctfully she went to push him out of her way but he didn't budge. "Jess you have to give this a break." he said as he looked at his sister. "Come on lets go inside before you embaress both of us." he said as he guided her into the school.
When they got into the school she looked at her older brother "What the fuck are you doing here, you left without a note or anything and all of a sudden you are some big shot football player now." she said to her brother. "All in time Jess, all in time." he said as he left her in the hallway near the attendance office. She just shook her head as she went in the double doors and went upto the desk and waited for the secretary to acknowlege her. The secretary finally noticed that Jessica was standing in front of her. "Yes, can I help you?" the secretary asked. "My name is Jessica Evans, and i'm new here." she said as the secretary looked through the computer for her name and when she found it, she printed her schedule and locker number and combination along with it.
She leaves the attendance office and heads down the long hallway to where her locker is and finally finds it. Once she gets to her locker and opens it she starts to put her books in it when a note falls from the top shelf with her name written on the front. She looks around wondering who could have known that this was her locker since it was her first day at the school. She opens it and it reads "Meet by the entrance at 2:30, you'll be told what you want to know then." Jess continues to look around throughout the empty hallway as she looks at her schedule and goes to her first class in room 231.

Chapter 2.

When she opens the door she goes to the back of the room to an empty desk and listens to the boring lecture by the teacher. All she could think about was that note in her locker and what it could mean. Suddenly she woke up when the bell rang. "How long was I out?" she asked herself as she looked around seeing the other students leaving the classroom. As she gets to the door she notices everyone is looking at her. "What the hell are you looking at?" she asked them. The students just looked at her and snickered. Jessica couldn't take it so she just walked away until she got to the women's restroom and went in. When she looked in the mirror she could see why they were looking at her funny. That reason is that her entire left side of her face is completely red from where she had her head on the book. "Stupid ass teachers, with their stupid ass lectures making me fall asleep on my first day." she said to herself as she washed her face with cold water. When she was finished in the women's bathroom she walked out and went to her next class.
Her entire day was just thinking when will 2:30 arrive, and when it did she headed down the steps to the lobby to find Chris standing there with a couple of the other members of the football team rambling about some football game they have on Friday evening. She goes up to him and taps him on the shoulder. "Chris, you left this in my locker?" she asked him as she put the note in his hand. He just snickers and looks at his younger sister. "Yeah I did. But right now isn't a good time considering you are apparently pissed off." he replied as he slapped hands with the football team. "Of course i'm pissed off, Mom dragged me here and now I see you here. I never thought I would see you again, especially after you didn't leave anything." she replied as he took her arm and led her to the side. "Look Jess, Dad left over 4 years ago and I finally traced him here. I found out that we have family up here so I contacted them and they agreed to take me in." he said as he looked at her. "When I find him I will find out where the fuck he's been for the past four years." Jess couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Chris I could ask you the same fucking thing." she cried as she looked around. "You should at least come to see mom. That's the least you could fucking do." she said. Chris just shook his head and looked at his little sister, "Now why would I wanna do something like that." he replied as he walked away from her. "I left because I couldn't stand her constant bitching." he said without looking back. Jess didn't know what to say about that comment, because deep down she knew it was true, because their mother does complain a lot; and deep down she wanted to do the same thing that her older brother did.
