The Writing On the Wall

As another day falls I stand at the door and watch the sun go behind the hills with an explosion of color stretching across the evening sky.  I can't help but think to myself that this is really something worth looking at. I can't help but think about my life and wonder where will I go from here? I want to know what my purpose is. I am not content to merely scrape out an existence that barely sustains. I want to go somewhere,to be someone. I want my family to be proud of what I do and who I am. I now realize that maybe these are all just dreams, maybe in the end all I can do is to take what I am given because it is what is needed to survive.



Everyday I look for that road that will lead me to where I want be. I pray every night for the writing on the wall that will explain everything in a way that even I can't confuse. I can't help but cringe a little as I think about how I wish I could discover the cliched light at the end of the tunnel.  How do you begin to go about discovering ones famed destiny? What is the key to unlock the puzzle of my life? I don't have the answer that I am looking for, maybe it too is just dream.
