As the hectic long day comes to an end
And we settle down to rest
You wrap me in your arms
As I lay my head upon your chest

I ask you how your day was
You answer with a playful smile
"My day was simply perfect
I thought of you all the while"

And then I kiss you gently
And say "I missed you too"
Then I melt as I look into your eyes
Your eyes of misty blue

Then suddenly our hectic long day
Is as far from our thoughts as could be
The only thing that fills our minds

And when our bodies finally rest
