Father Lost

He was a man like any man
Quiet, Gentle, Strong;
His love of family took for granted
For so very long.
I thought I knew him oh so well,
His hopes and dreams he'd found
In all of us who love him so
And to his God was bound
So what crept in to change it all,
To take his Love away?
Why would he leave his family,
Why did he go astray?
No matter what the answers are
I want for him to know,
