To My Husband

When we first met
on that very special day,
my life i realized was never
the same.

You came with roses
and your bandaged hand,
Looking for a blond haired
instead a girl with black hair
and metallic red strands.

When we first dance
I knew right then,
That we would be together
thanks to our two close friends.


You were worth the bad times
even today,
Because you gave me something
that in my lone years i've always
had prayed.

I never thought a guy
could love me for me,
you proved me wrong
you swept me off my feet.

Ten years later I still feel
the same way,
your worth growing old with
each in every day.

As we drink together and share our laughs
and our tears,
how we looked back and stayed together
through out those toughest of years.
