Sailors

The seabag is filled with special things.
Those that tie to memories of home.
Companions for months at sea,
far so far from home.

Artist pack charcoal and paper,
poets ink and pen,
musicians their instrument
searchers their books.

That which brings comfort
when the ocean rages
pounding endlessly the deck
when the power of raindrops
are all brought to one.

Possessions that create serenity
when the storm passes
and a crystal mirror remains
reflecting heavenly images.
As above so below.
