These are three poems I did in my poetry class. |
Gentle Breeze on Weighted Breath Look upon the gentle breeze as sunlight glistens on deciduous trees Taste the scent of bright colored flowers when the sky is void of downpours and showers The world and its beauty are flowing as one its fervent elegance adorned by none Supple and simple my body knows that your beauty compares to all of those As I gaze upon your weighted breath the moonlight mocks my fleeting death I hear the sighs within your eyes while I taste your gently muffled cries Beauty like this is bound to come But the truth is darling we’ll never be done Pictures Darkness creeps forth and I see the faces of those held dear. A smile slides across mine as they peer into my pained expression. Light continues to dissipate as each visage blurs to a phantom pantomime of the real deal. Sharp piercing reality cuts through the obscurity as blood spews from a personal image and coats the air. Reminiscent tantalisms of those that miss me fade away as the darkness deepens and pictures no longer matter. Work The hum of air conditioning units Fills the spaces that the Buzz of florescent lighting doesn’t cover. The roar of a hydraulic powered compactor crushes My spirit as another soulless entity Murmurs in my eyes. Click Click Beep Beep Click Your total is my annihilation. Another hour Wastes away As my body, petrified, Cries in pain. My only solace Is my pencil And this piece of paper. |
