A story on memories, both good and bad, and how I handle them.
A flame rises, he lights his cigarette.
His face seems to be sorrowed.
As he looks up into the morning sun his memories rise up
and remind him of his better days.

Never again he would be the same, he's wondering why but
answers have disappeared in time.
He takes another puff and notices
a bird flying by, so simple yet so perfect.

"What if it is that simple?"
"Just not knowing, just living a simple life as supposed to.
Wouldn't it be hard to not notice your getting fooled?
or is that just my philosophy?"

The thoughts in his head crumble like a piece of paper,
and he knows that once it's crumbled it can't be the same again.

Drawing no conclusions whatsoever
the man lights up another cigarette
and starts whistling a song, and he thinks to himself:
"The sun hasn't faded yet."
