most ppl dont realize how high the price of our fredom is we crack jokes and protest wars
The Cost Of Our Freedom

You go out wearing your clean American flag shirt,
You have lunch and complain because they mess up your order;
The female soldier wears a uniform she couldnt wash this week over in Iraq,
The male soldier doesnt get to eat today in Afghanistan.
You go out to the bar to forget about your lives stressors,
You listen to the jokes made about the soldiers fighting this war and you laugh.
The soldiers overseas may not come home alive and they know it,
They watch their brothers and sisters get hit and have to keep moving to stop the attack before they can help their "family".
They can't drink away that stress,
Not while deployed and not wen they come home, what they see overseas will stay in their mind till their grave.
You go out to join an anti-war protest,
You scream and yell about how it's not right our people are dying over in the middleeast and Korea.
The soldiers know the price they might pay to keep out country free,
They have counted up the costs.
"I dont want to die for you, but if dyings asking me then i'll bear that cross with honor cuz freedom dont come free."
Toby Keith put the words of every soldier into his song "American Soldier".
So the balls in your court now,
You can choose to keep letting the way Americans treat the soldiers who give them the freedom of speech, by risking their lives, like they are dirt.
Or you can stand up and tell others what the coat of thier freedom is.
