Promise

As evening sets in, i sit amidst flora
on an island filled with fauna
In the distance is obvious,
the sunset in colours of wonder
provoking dreams of yonder,
as i struggle to contain yet grow fonder
of the life that has made me stronger...

Earlier, i watched the sun rise slowly
taking time to bask in all it's glory,
In the distance it seemed certain
the dawn of promises contained.
If anything today has left painted,
It's a promise of a future more stronger.
