when I'm dim and dirty,
I don't clean the house.
when we fight,
I don't clean myself.
When the lights burn out,
I don't care to change them.

But the tricky things I do
Capture everyone but you.
With those bright blue eyes
and the madness they see through.

helpless and nervous at the bank,
with my hands held high.
soon I'll be the criminal who failed,
Hanging his pistol from arms reach.
and You'll be the billion dollar heist
who wouldn't fit in the bag.
So what if my bag was bigger?
what if I had no gun to hang?
What if i was ten years older?
What if you were ten years younger?
Would I have still been as foolish?
Would that be a wrong doing,
that people would see as right?
What If i Did nothing?
What if the face behind the mask,
was gruesome and scarred?
Would that get me something?
Would that make you love me?
I didn't need another
Best friend to share a drink with.
Instead I found a love
that I learned to drink to.
You drove me to that station,
On that train home from Chicago
that drove me to drink more.
You protected me from violence.
You showed me peace
after all of the wars we've won.
And when the dust finally settled
We toasted to our victories.
And to this year we've defeated
together from the invasions
we held from two separate fronts.
We sleep with the enemy,
we know them quite well.
because I am your enemy,
and you are mine.
when we've run out of enemies,
when there are no towns to raise,
we will finally face each other.
we will fall together.
two feet shy of the bed,
but that's exactly what we want.
