Note from the Author

Can I ask you a question? Do you believe in magic? I’m not talking about fairies and unicorns, but real magic. You’ve probably seen it once or twice in your life and never realized it. Most of the time it’s subtle, something you may have noticed but your brain assures you that there has to be a logical explanation; you must’ve seen it wrong. Most people don’t investigate further. Sometimes though… sometimes you’ll glimpse at something and know what you’ve witnessed can’t be real. Chances are you were at the wrong place at the wrong time but if you explore a little further and let your curiosity guide you, you’d be like me.

My name is Anne, and I’m an alcoholic. Okay I’m not really an alcoholic, I’m an author. Ever since I could talk the only thing I wanted to do was become a writer; the starving artist. But if I could die knowing my work would live on in a thousand years and still be read, then my job here is done, I’d be at peace. I majored in journalism with no hopes of ever really becoming a journalist. I wasn’t the type of person to investigate the dramas and then report it to the world. It came down to one reason… I was just too shy. But people can change. People can be forced to change.


No one really knows who I am. I am young, living a “normal” life in Melbourne, Australia and there is nothing mysterious about me to others. But now I’m faced with this problem. I’m being hunted down and I constantly have this heavy feeling lingering over my shoulders like someone is chasing me or is close enough to grab me. But all I can do is just walk.

I discovered there’s more to our world than we know. While normal people live their lives there’s another world being lived in the background, in the shadows. There are people, who at first glance look average, normal just like you and me; but they’re keeping a secret – magic. Special people with special abilities. They can control the elements, they can invade your dreams, and they can push or even change fate. They can murmur a few words, or make some gestures with their hands and change the world around them. These are not your average people.

Now that I’ve seen it I can’t un-see it – they’re everywhere. It’s a secret world, and I know I’m not supposed to know what I know and there’s a reason why this secret must remain. Sounds crazy right? It might have been easier if I just convinced you I was an alcoholic.

But on a serious note here in black and white I have painted the words for you to document my search. Continue the search if you please, or you can just simply close the book now and forget you ever read this page. This is the world of AP exposed and I am the muckraker.
