A short poem on a sparrow's thirst and death resulting due to it.
Sparrow, O Sparrow,
Fly quickly here and there.
Small you may be,
You can be anywhere.
Chirping that i hear,
In the bright sunny morning.
Joy fills up when i hear you,
But soon i will be in mourning.
Thirsty thou are,
As you fly place to place.
Searching for water,
With a dry and feeble face.
Exhaustion and death,
Grasp your very being.
And from the air do you fall,
And when you fall, you sing,
"Water, O Water,
Where art thou?
These humans find you,
And use you for their own.
Where is the river,
That gives me life?
Where are the ponds,
That will bring me life?
Soon shall I depart,
From here to the sky.
God is waiting for me,
And i will eternally fly."

please keep water for the sparrow,
outside your windows or door,
for the summers are very harsh these days...
