Where did my daughter go when she died?
Where are you my daughter?
You are no longer in my arms
Your face haunts me, but when I reach for you
You disappear.

Sometimes I hear your laughter
Somewhere off in the distance
When I search for you, you cannot be found.

Where is your beautiful smile
The one that lit up your face
I always saw it when I looked at you.

They tell me you are in heaven, my daughter
And that I will see you again one day
I cannot find this heaven

They say I should be happy you are there
That it is where all the good people go
I cannot find the happiness in that

Are you in heaven my daughter?
Or do you merely just haunt my dreams now?
Where are you my daughter?
You left along with my heart
