Hopeless

"He said WHAT ?" Breanne gasped stepping away almost landing in a puddle. Her friend, Gil, had told her that her boyfriend, Joshua, had said he liked anthoer girl, Alicia, as well as Breanne. Her head felt like air, and she paled. "Where is he?" she said her eyes big. "He's over there ..." said Gil pointed to Joshua. And guess who he was beside ? ALICIA. A million questions went through Breanne's mind. Why was he with her and not with Breanne? Did he like Alicia more? Was her hair more brown? Her eyes more green? Breanne raced to Joshua tears daring to spill from her eyes. "Can I talk to you?" She said her voice cracking at talk. Joshua turned around his golden eyes fixed on Breanne's teary ones. "Um.. okay..." he said carefully. Breanne led him to the oak tree where they first held hands. A million memories flashed through her brain. What would happen if she let him go? Would she even be able to breathe? "Gil told me ... you liked Alicia?" Breanne said preparing for the worst. "I..." he looked to his feet. Breanne stepped back. "What?" she said

That was the day of the rest of Breanne's life. She never did break up with Joshua that day, but things were downhill from there. HE ended up breaking up with HER for Alicia. Breanne was hopeless that things could ever go back to normal. She made games with herself, saying for example if the squirrel on that rock runs up that tree in 5 seconds Joshua would fall in love with her again. This went on for 3 weeks about. Maybe even less. It finally worked. Joshua finally toke a second glance and Breanne. He relized what he had given away. She was litterally perfect for him. And he was perfect for her. He broke up with Alicia, wanting to get back together with Breanne. But if he broke her heart again, would she be able to handle it? BUT Breanne was hopeless, and Joshua was the only one to give her hope.
