A fable on God's nurturing of man.
God slept, and slept and slept...Until one day, a root sprang from him - The first tree. It itched him, so he scratched and slept more; and slept and slept. Until another day, more roots sprang itching him a bit more; so he scratched and slept more and more.

Many days passed of God sleeping, he became accustomed to waking up from his itching and it didn't bother him much after a few years. But one day, when God awoke to itch, he felt a crawl - irritated, he flicked it away. Many more things began to crawl all over God in the following days and this angered him so he blew them away.

Decades more passed and God slept peacefully; not losing a second of sleep to the itching or crawling...

But again, after many days of peacefulness, the itching sprang back, the crawling more irritating than ever.

Deeply annoyed, God grabbed a rock and plunged it into the point of his inflammation; ridding himself of it for many more years.

It returned again however, and this time it was more than he could bear - At this point he had two options: Embrace or concede - He chose to embrace.

He filled cracks of his body with water, firmly nurtured the trees and grass that grew upon him and yet something was missing: In order to truly embrace life he had to make it his own; so he created man.

And man prospered and thrived upon God, through God. And God thrived through man as they began to augment.

As man continued to populate God continued to embrace; showing his love by sprouting new flowers and by giving new foods and waters, and allowing discoveries and higher intellect.

Tired and in need of rest God once again entered sleep; leaving man to thrive through his will. God however, was now an imperfect being as he let his desire for physical satisfaction get in the way of his meditative slumber. So his dreams became storms and his nightmare's disasters. Since then many lives have been lived and many thoughts thought - Many dreams and nightmare's have been dreamed and many days have passed; since God birthed man.

To give yourself is to give life; to give life is to give yourself.
